That is one fine looking engine and if it's anything like you it will be a head turner. I am looking forward to follow your build. You just continue with that dream because dreams do come true. Can not wait to see your engine.

Nelson, Thank you for the nice compliments. I just got home from the midlands model engineering show last night, so will be back to work on my beam engine.
BTW, whilst there I picked up a beautiful working ball governor kit that I am going to use to replace the non functioning one that came with the engine castings.
Hope to hear from you soon,
        Jenny

I am a 62 year old retired E-Commerce systems architect who began my working life as a machinist in a machine buiding company.

After 30 years of being a hi-tech exec, and hating almost every moment of it, I retired young at only 58 years old,! Now I dabble in model engineering.

Recalling what a great sense of accomplishment making a precision part gave me when working as a machinist led to my decision to engage in machining as a hobby,

I am glad I have, as I now enjoy endless hours of satisfaction (and occasional swearing) from pottering around in my glass conservatory/workshop.

The best part is that I am no longer making parts and pieces for others, instead I get to keep and play with what I make!
