I built this engine from scratch. No castings. Problem with pistons, the aluminium expands to much. If I increase play the pistons become to loose. I used 6068 aluminium, what should I use. The bore is 40.5mm and the sleeves are centrifugally casted cast Iron.

Make cast iron piston rings, the spring in the rings will take up any expansion.

I would think two rings about 2.5mm wide and 1-1.5mm thick should do

I will post a couple of photographs. Just want to do the photographing. give ne 5 days please.
Thanks for the advice regarding cast Iron rings and 7075 alli.

Thank you for the compliment, I took data from all over the internet and compiled my cwn drawings. Modified design slightly in order to make it practical for modelling without castings.
