Found this "automotive lathe" for sale.

Quote from from the ad: "i have a automotive lathe i used for boring out and maching blocks and heads and making custom metal fittings with i have used the machine for many years but i no longer have use for it it has tons of bits and many gears to go with it..."

Can someone explain to me how he did all that he lists with this lathe? He must be a machinig God;)

Don,

Could be true except it's listed in the auto section of CL.

Hmmmm.... Looks like a Craftsman 109 to me. http://www.lathes.co.uk/craftsman/page4.html Would have to be a very tiny block to fit in a 6" lathe. :big: Actually pretty nice little machines, but I wouldn't go over about $150 for one (a very nice one!). Dad's got a couple he picked up at garage sales for less than $50 a piece. Never uses them, but then he's got a bad case of lathe collectitus. ::)

Yup, that's a little #109.21270

Working on automobiles with that? I smell the scent of fecal matter....

Those are so-so little machines. With some modifications they can do decent small work.
