I need some help please. I have a drawing in a word document sent to me by a friend that I would like to post here. I know the additional options doesn't work for photos but is it ok for files?

Peter ???

OK, Peter I tried to add a Word Document as an attachment to the post
and it appears to work.

Click the + Additional Options...
Below and left on the post window and enter the file name
in the Attach: box.

Please be sure the drawing is not copyright protected.

Also note that whomever wants to view the document will need to have MS Word or compatible before they can open it.

Sun offers an MS Office compatible suite called Open Office, free (the best kind!), it works well.

Thanks chaps. Another thought then is can I convert it to something that I can copy and paste in or that can be viewed without the need to open another window/application?

Peter

If you use Windows, you could try to copy each picture in Word, and then use Paint and past the picture in there.
Then, from Paint, save the picture, but choose "JPG" for the file format when saving, and note the folder where you save it in.

If you attach the pictures you saved from paint to a new post, they should be OK.

Regards, Arnold
