Yes neat stuff. e easily forget in this age of 3-d design that 2d drawings were made by draftsmen then illustrations and illustrated part breakdowns were done by illustrators.

Around 1970 I had a neighbor who did this on the side. He would be given a camera picture of a machine and had to draw it to scale. If a shaft had a keyway showing it had to be on the drawing, sprocket showing, tooth count had to be right, very detailed drawings. Pictures were from 7-8 feet away so they could be very detailed. Company paid $100 per sheet for several nights work.
