Hi Folks,

I am in need of a tapping head but not the Vertex version.:(

Having checked around on the net I am having difficulty deciding which one to buy.

I would like one that goes from M3 to M12 if such a beast exists?

With an MT2 taper to fit my drills quil.

Or as near to that as possible.

As I live in the UK it should be a UK supplier where I can get parts if required.

May I ask for advice as to which one you have found most effective and reliable please?

Budget up to £300.

Im closely watching this topic because i have this same question. I dont mind a Chinese supplier

Have a look at Fahrion. I'm having three of them in use and the older one is more than 50 years old... http://shop.fahrion.de/index.php?id=17&pgsn=040060&L=1&chash=27fa20 They are close to your budget (and they might sell on request refurbished ones for less money)
Sometimes there are really cheap used ones on Ebay, too. The German term is Gewindeschneidapparat (translates to Threadcuttingapparatus).

Hi Till.

Thanks very much for that site, I didn't see that in my google search.:(

I have looked at the one's on Ebay but couldn't find the range I wanted but those look just right.:D
