Hi

I am using a Denso U20M-U plug on my Kiwi and the gap is set at 0.5mm. What is the correct gap for this type of plug.

Also, when I try it out, there is a spark between the gap but I do not know how a healthy spark should look like.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Vince

A healthy spark should be blue, if it's yellow, it's weak. As for the gap, trial and error....

Hi Vince,
I would say that your .5 mm would be close enough. I usually try for .025 (.64mm)

Thanks woodster and George for your replies.

I openned up the gap to 0.6mm. I had a look at the spark produced and it is white. I am trying to get my hands on a different ignition coil just to see it it makes any difference.
