I am still getting the lathe tweaked and setup as I go. I have a feeling this will be a continuous process.

As it warms up I have been organizing the shop in order to continue work on my Tapper engine. I started the cold end of the displacer cylinder yesterday.

First I faced and trued up the bottom of the cold end.

Next I drilled the 3/8 hole for the displacer rod bushing.

Up next:

Boring the displacer cylinder
Internal 3/4 - 40 thread
Cooling fins

Take it light, slow and easy. Use plenty of oil.
