It was funny to see the lawn mower with the alternator and battery. I had actually thought of building one of those for our Ham radio club. For Field Day we run with battery or portable power and almost everything we have is run on 12V. It looked like a great way to move the entire set up around and make use of an old lawnmower that can be found cheap or free. Would need to be refilled pretty often but then you could still run off the battery while fueling up.
