You're going to have to be a little more specific. What exactly do you mean, what would they look like. Being a metal patternmaker for most of my working career I could give you some information about patternmaking.
A pattern is just that, basically a copy of the item to be cast but with the appropriate shrink added for the type of metal it's going to be cast from. If there are any cores involved, crankcase, water jackets etc. there will need to be 'core prints to accept them when the mold is made. The cores hollow out the inside of the casting.
There are usually 2 patterns, a cope (upper) and a drag (lower) that are used when making a part. The patterns can be the loose type with locating pins on each half or they can be mounted on a pattern plate.
