originally from London England, now living in Sydney Australia since 1983. Already 80 years old. Capable woodworker, turner, patter maker, got interested in engineering about 12 years ago, including foundry work. Built a Gingery lathe - to see if I really wanted to do engineering. Got the bug, so built his milling machine and all the 'exotic extras'. Now it is about time I built something with all these tools ! So here I am. Planning to start soon on Elmers wood/metal beam engine. As David Gingery often said "the fun is just beginning".

Welcome Tedbryant.

I would very much like to see some pictures and have you describe your experiences building the Gingery machines. I have followed a few people attempting the lathe over the years, and find it interesting.
