New guy, been lurking for some time.

Hello folks,

My name is Paul and I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been sitting in the background reading and soaking up information. I have an interest in gas engines, primarily hit and miss but throttle governed. I also have an interest in sleeve valve engines.

Don't have much in the shop. Just a little 6" atlas lathe, which needs some TLC, and a charcoal foundry.

I'm a full time fireman and have 5 kids. I live in the Santa Barbara, California area. Needless to say, shop time can be limited at times. Hope to start contributing and interacting with the folks here. Let me thank you all now for all that I have already learned from your projects and discussions.
