6x4 shed does seem a bit tight,but if you look at my latest thread
about a second lathe I fitted it in a 4x3 space.The beauty of these small lathes is they DONT need bolting down and can be picked up and moved around
Look at making a larger bench than needed but allows you to store the bikes
You can then use the bench for the lathe and build shelves under etc
the lathe can be moved about.If you look at some of my threads you
will see that I am a master of compactness
