Here is a photo showing the status of my current project. I'm building a slightly modified version of the Kerzel Hit & Miss IC engine. This is a trial assembly of the body, piston, timing gear and drive components. The cylinder head can be seen lying beside the assembly. It has been fitted with brass valve guides. The next stage is making and fitting ignition and fuel systems. Everything except screws and gears has been made by yours truly. The fly wheels are approx 75mm diameter which gives an idea of the model's dimensions.

This is the first project using the modifications I made last year to my little Seig lathe and micro mill - I added simple digital measurement sytems using el cheapo chinese DRO scales. The resulting accuracy of machining is around +- 0.01 mm !!
Let's hope it eventually works!
