I was having a spring clean in the workshop today when I came across this box.

Inside were some things. Some stuff I made 10 or 12 years ago and just about forgot I had.

A trammel bar, with points and pen holding head

A graduated scribing block

... and a parallel do-hickey for marking the centre of flat bar

I'm glad to 'ave 'em 'back'.

Watch out for the bushfire Tel, I'll bet you got just as big a buzz rediscovering them as when you first made them? Just one small problem, it doesn't say "Made in OZ" on them. Of course at that time, there was probably only the possibility of a M I J sticker on them to pre date the M I T R O C and M I T or M I I :big:
The reason most people think that I'm reluctant to buy tooling is cos I'm a Yorkshireman, not the creativity buzz.

Yeah mate, the buzz is wot it's about. The first 'tool' I ever made was a little plate with a series of tapped BA holes in it, mostly used for shortening screws. That was over 30 years ago, and it's still used on an almost daily basis. Still enjoy picking it up.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
and I sure will imitate that do-hickey.
BTW do you have any pics of a thinga-mebob?
