you cant beat horz for slapping a piece flat in a hurry
 
Hi JimM , If the cutters are cheep and in good condition they are worth getting ,i use my H mill all the time ,you cant beet them for gear cutting, profilling,sliting saws ect the horizontal set up is very stiff an with good sharp cutters will give an excellent finish.here are some photo's of some jobs i have dun with mine.

Grab 'em and sock 'em away for future use - even if you never cut with 'em, they're excellent trade goods!
