Hi,
I have been a lurker here for about a year now as I was stationed in Korea and could do nothing cure my interest in machining. I have recently returned to the states and I'm currently stationed at Ft. Riley in Kansas. I purchased an X2 mini mill to start out with and to see if I can sate my thirst to cut metal. Im 29 and I am an active duty UH-60L Blackhawk pilot in the U.S. Army.

Welcome Kelso, the X2 should enable you to build a few things. It will also soak up a bit of spare cash as you buy toys for it - they are more expensive than a mistress (so I am informed).

Jim

And a big welcome from another Aussie

And a welcome from another Aussie, I'm sure that you will get a lot of pleasure from machining, especially things that move when assembled.

Paul.

Kelso85---Can't let them Aussies get ahead of me. Welcome from Canada. There are a lot of nice folks and a lot of talent on this forum, and we look forward to seeing some of your work.---Brian

And a welcome from a fellow newb from the states too! (Iowa to be exact) Any chance of catching a ride in that chopper sometime? ha
