Thanks for the plan Sir.
Is it possible to add some Pictures or a Video to See How the attachment works.? I just can't get an imagination.

Regards Stefan

nice job. was wondering if theres a simple formula for doing worm gears using 1/2 acme thread rod as hob ?

Pitch diameter = Number of Teeth X Threadsperinch / pie
Blank OD = Pitch diameter + Thread Depth
It is better to gash the blank first otherwise the hob may not self drive the blank with the correct pitch

thanks tom im here in el paso tx. used to live in austin tx back in the 80s beautiful town.

I understand that you don't use the same tooth form for a helical gear as you would for a spur gear. For example, (somewhere, I can't find it right now) there is a video of this attachment in use, and the poster stated that he was using a 35 tooth spur gear cutter for a 14 tooth, 45 degree helical gear. Can anyone point me to how one picks the tooth form of the cutter?
