If you have been following along, I have been trying to build a poppin engine since last August. After making 2 standards and 4 crankshafts I finally have made enough parts to do a test assembly. I will start on the flywheels as soon as I scrounge some materials

It's looking like a Poppin!

I couldn't find affordable brass round stock when I made mine.
I did find a scrap piece of 3/8" flat brass plate that became
round flywheels.

They don't HAVE to be brass.
1018 cold roll steel is almost as dense for mass.
It's easy to machine and 1/4 the cost of brass.
