Hi guys, I have started on the Edwards radial and have completed the crankcase, crank, cam, cylinders and next want to work on the master rod and link rod's (conrods). I have purchased Al 2024 at high cost for this purpose. I was wondering if it will be beneficial to glue phosphor bronz rods/pins in the 0.250" and 6 mm holes and drill and ream to 3/16". The link pins will then be 3/16". Will this weaken the rounded ends of the link rods to the extend that it becomes a problem? The smaller link pins will be weaker but intuition tells me that a 3/16" link pin will still be suitable.
