Hi fellow model engineers, busy building a Bob Shores Little Angel engine after i shelved it for a couple of years as my skills were not up to it yet. So i'm giving it a go now again. Have the frame and cylinder machined and came to the point where i need to position/mount the cylinder to the frame. Now i have studied the drawings, did all kind of calculations but i can not see a definite dimension as where exactly to position the cylinder on the frame. I noted somebody advising to have the piston at TDC covering about half of the inlet port on the cylinder. Any one came across this issue as well. What did you do? The drawing calls for a notch on the frame with dimensions/position to sort of secure the cylinder and keep it perpendicular, however this corresponding groove is not indicated on the cylinder drawing nor any dimensions. Any help, would be appreciated.
