Dunno about fame, but that's me.
There is a story about the beer: I did a trip around Europe visiting friends on the way to the Bristol Model Exhibition. I started in Copenhagen and got my photo taken and I happened to have a beer in my hand.
So I made sure I had a beer in hand every time I had my photo taken.
At the Bristol Exhibition, I did not realise that beer was on sale until I had finished my lunch and a bloke sat down beside me with a beer. To the great embarrassment of my (English) friend who had come to the Exhibition with me, I explained the situation and asked if I could borrow the bloke's beer to have my photo taken.
There was no problem. As BrassMachine says: We are all mad.
