I am looking for someone to cut some letters out of plastic for a client of mine rather small 10/32 High 5 wide and 6\32 deep.

I've been working with laser cutters for several years and most of them won't cut "plastics", (toxic smoke).
I think you will find that a water jet is the way to go, much nicer edge finish. Many of the "laser" shops I've worked with also have water jet's so you should be able to locate one.

My client has a small and large set cut with laser the issue is the inconstancy in the letter height. I hadent thought about water jet and there are several shops in the area that do water I'll talk with them tomorrow.
