Perusing Fleabay a week ago I came across a nice small Corbetts XL 7" motorised shaper and decided to try and get it. Well my luck was in and it was mine. See attached pic. Whilst talking to the owner he offered me a nice swivelling vice for the paltry sum of £20, I snapped this up and then the piece de resistance. What lathe have you got, Myford says I, Have you got a dividing head for it, no says I. 30 seconds later I had a Myford Dividing head for the same price as the vice. Result:D.

Just have to learn to, use the shaper and dividing head.

Having watched it run I can see the hypnotic effect users talk about.

Just need some time in workshop, perhaps I need to retire.

Nice find . I found learning to use the shaper fairly easy and intuitive. But find as much info to read as possible.
