Hi, What i do if at all possible to remove parts is use phosphoric acid used with a battery charger and a scoop of detergent and it removes most if not all rust but does change some bits darker(black) but if painting it is no problem it is very effective. coldte

I appreciate that all motors may be reversible but some this one included only have two wires from the innards to the connector block , so unless i wanted to do major surgery ( i did not) to all intents it was not reversible at the time. regards coldte
