I know people all over and I peruse craigslist of those cities and my latest haul is a 5 drawer Dunlap top box for $60 and a 3 drawer Kennedy for $35. These are my first two chests and I'm tickled pink. Just thought I'd share.

The harbor freight Wood tools boxes can be nice for the money . I have seen some floor modes falling apart but I purchased on about a year ago . IF you get a coupon the price is pretty decent.

I keep an eye on CL but around here people ask way too much for the good boxes.

I know what you mean it seems like many times the tool boxes one sees at flea markets are either top doller or beat to death or damages from neglect.
