Roller knives for siding slitter

I need to make knives for a siding slitter. The knives are 3" around 3/4 thick. They cut alum siding. What type of metal should i use for this.

I have found out that most of the knives are made out of tool steel i was just wondering what grade i should use.

For some thing that you want wear resistant and that will hold a keen edge I would use some A-2 tool steel and heat treat to about 57-60 Rc.
