Protection for D R O

Fitted a cheap D R O to my mill and it's not swarf or coolant proof , as I don't use flood coolant it's mainly swarf I need to protect against , what is the best way felt wipers or cover the whole thing with perspex ? Witch will be over the table height .

Just get some clear lexan to cover it up not acrylic
