Rough & Tumble at Kinzers PA.
we got there around nine and left around 5ish. There was a
steady flow of folks through the model shed all day. We have gotten in the
habit of getting folks attention and engaging in conversation .We give a
little 2-3 minute lecture about our engines and how they work. Most folks
have no idea of how these simple engines work and are afraid to ask. My wife
is almost as good at the impromptu speeches as I am. I spoke with a couple of pro machinist that are interested in getting started building engines.
One guy has over 30 years experience machining /fabricating plastics the
second one owns his own shop. Got there email addresses and will be sending
them plans and the link to the forum.
I only left the table long enough to grab a couple of burgers ,a
couple trips to the rest rooms and did a few laps around the flea market
field . I picked up a handful each of lathe bits, flap wheels and slitting
saws. So all in all a good day.
I got to meet and chat with Philjoe5 and his wife.
Hope to see more folks at Iron Fever in two weeks.
