I took a couple of day to make some lamp holders for my friends 1928 Model A Ford Fire Truck. He has been searching for a couple of years and couldn't find any but he did find a guy that loaned him a part to copy.
Originally it was nickel plated brass castings, that was out of the question so I offered to make him some out of some scrap alunimum out of my metalstock.
All I have to do is install the light sockets when he gets them to me.
It was a fun challenging project including simple turning, tapers, threading, drilling and polishing. Now my friend is thrilled to finally have lights for the back of his Fire Truck.
