I am constructing the fuel mixer (carb) for a Associated Hired Hand model engine and would like some suggestions as to what type of solder and flux to use for joining the brass parts.

Thanks

I like the Harris "Stay Brite" silver bearing solder and the "Stay Clean" paste flux. Works great for soldered assemblies where great strength is not needed.

I have a great amount of 50/50 solder that originally came in stick form. I have cut it into strips and nipped pieces off over the years This is what I use because it flows better than the no lead/low lead solders but for the carb almost any solder will do. They make a specific flux for 50/50 and no lead solders. Just make sure you get the proper flux for the solder you're using.
