Building a 1/3 scale blown V-8. Block, heads, intake manifold, blower, oil pan, front cover, rear bulkhead plate, flywheel, and oil pump are made from 6061 T-6 aluminum. The engine is based on a design by Ken Hurst and Dwight Giles. I make all my own design and machine drawings, and have modified nearly every facet of the engine. So far I am about 12 months into the project. I'm now working on the crankshaft with the cam to follow. Once they're finished, the short-block will be complete with the heads coming next.
