Classically, the socket head dimensions fell outside of the three standard Deviations from the Mean and would only require a 'within spec' one.
However there is a possibility - because of the similarities- of small socket screws that it could be accidentally a wrong bolt altogether. You see the tapping into the engine body could also be 'wrong' thread.

Time for 'Microscope on the Lathe' day?
