Many thanks to Jan Ridders for the excellent design! This thing is a reliable runner (chugging away next to me as I type :)), and always delights during "show and tell" sessions.

It could use some more polishing & what-not, but that's never been my strong suit ;D

That is a beautiful example of the Bas!!
Excellent work getting it to run on a tea light candle. :eek:

Just imagine how it would look if it had all the parts "BLINGED"!!! ;D

Maybe the squeak would disappear if the piston was changed to graphite?

Yeah, it would be nice to see everything polished up, and the graphite piston idea has crossed my mind... and I guess I did promise myself to do the brass trim pieces under the pedestals. Well, we'll see; but I'm serious about that kitchen remodel - ordered the cabinets today ::)
