Ignitor Ignition System?

What are you guys using for the ignition coil on your motors that use an ignitor? I have an engine build coming up that uses an ignitor and I need to find a suitable coil. Also what battery voltage are you using with it? Thanks for your help with my questions.

This should explain low tension coils. I am useing a coil removed from a auto altenator rotor. Press the rotor apart and you will find a round coil with a core. This will draw 3 amps on 12 v. power tool battery that I use. This is up on the high side of current draw. I feel 2 amp would be better. However it runs my model Hired Man engine OK. LynS
