So, Rick, what is your question? If you want to retain the traditional points to trigger a new ignition system, the S/S CDI unit will work well. Many people opt to use a Hall effect trigger on a new engine, but since you already have a set of points it makes sense to keep them. The S/S unit is easy to wire up and is compact. I have used it on a couple of engines with satisfaction.

Thats where I need the help I'm not sure what is meant by S/S unit (Solid State I Assume )
Where would I get one with full instructions on how to wire it up? Thx

Thx sent an email and have a call into them also. Hope to get one that will replace what I have and is a direct connect using the points that are mounted now. Thx everybody will post updates if and when its up and running!

Spoke with Roy and ordered the CDI ignition system will have it next week. Hope to get the tractor to fire up! thx all
