Hi there guys!

I did a quik search, but still need to ask my qeustion...

I have an old ENYA .60 r/c engine that I would like to put back to life. This engine was given to me years ago, missing one of two piston rings, the carby and the muffler. This engine is no longer in production, so spares is not available any longer. I think I will try to source a new carb of some sort and make it fit, make up a muffler, and here comes the problem: The piston rings. THAT I will have to make. What material to use? I have read somewhere something about meehanite cast iron?? is that the thing to use??

Thanks.

Thanks man! Google has actually pointed me in that direction already ;)

I will go and see my local meterial supplier this afternoon about meehanite cast iron, and get my project going. It looks easy enough, except maybe for the heat treatment part.... That might take a few attempts to get it just right as I don't have access to an oven. I do have a nice big flame though ;D ;D
