site. I have tried but i keep going wrong somewhere. any pointers
will be greatly appreciated.

Ken

If you copy and paste a URL into a post the software should make it a hyperlink
without the need for tags.

Code:
http://www.eng.mu.edu/corlissg/gc_engine.html

Will display as: http://www.eng.mu.edu/corlissg/gc_engine.html

If you want to hyperlink text, the code is different.
Code:
[url=http://www.eng.mu.edu/corlissg/gc_engine.html]The Corliss Engine[/url]
Will display as: The Corliss Engine

If you use that second method and replace the text with an image code, you
get a hyper-linked picture.
Code:
[url=http://www.eng.mu.edu/corlissg/gc_engine.html][IMG]http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n159/rake60/engine1.jpg[/IMG][/url]
Will display as:

It looks complicated in print, but it reality it's just a few copy and paste operations.

I have seen bits and pieces of explanations like yours but they never came close to yours. Your explanation makes it simple as 1, 2, 3 and with examples of the same graphic. This is something everyone should read as there are a lot of members that do not understand how to do all 3. :bow: :bow:

Cheers :)
