G'Day All,
I have been given the engine crankcase casting shown below & I have no idea what it is. I would like to complete the engine but I do not have enough experience with this type of engine to attempt a build without a set or drawings. Any help from the aero engine builders in the identification of the engine will be greatly appreciated.
It's dimensions are as follows;
O/all length = 84.3 mm, 3.3"
O/all height = 57 mm, 2.25"
O/all width = 42 mm, 1.65"
It has no markings on the casting & somebody has turned the crankcase (Ø23.5 x 20 deep) & main bearing (Ø20 x 4.5 deep) bores.
Thanks in advance,
Don.

Hmmmmm , rear exhaust....Can be a speed engine or a marine engine. It have a big intake , so I think it is a glow engine.
Diesels have smaller inlets , because they have more torque than a glow engine.
