I got the 80mm 3 jaw with the sieg lathe and bought the 80mm 4 jaw
both fit direct to sieg nose.I would like 100 dia chucks that also fit direct
to the sieg nose without adaptor plate.Does anybody know if these are available ?
Myford made dedicated light weight/min. overhang chucks and they were a dream
There is a big market out there for say a 41/2 direct mount for the sieg.Any comments?

Another option is the Bison 7-810-0222 2 1/3 inch Chuck $ 395.
with 1/2" x 20 thread no need for the back plate.


I do not see a stock 1/2 20 back plate for the 3""


You will likely need a custom back plate.

You'll get about .003" runout from the 3" 3 jaw from LMS or any $79. three jaw for that matter.

I have the 4 Jaw 3'' one from LMS, and I love it. No Complaints here. I love the fact I can turn square stuff and make off centered parts.

You can get 3" (finishes to 3") cast Iron round stock from speedy metals for $4.41 per inch. Would make a fine back plate .
