Thought I'd introduce myself although there's little to be said. I am a life long woodworker and took up machining about 10 years ago. Idea was that scrap metal was cheaper than wood. Oh well. My shop consists of a '46 South Bend A, a Taig lathe, an Acer mill and a mini-mill which I converted to CNC last year, an indomitable
4X6 saw along with a barrel or so of tooling. I primarily design and create very artful swarf.
As a breather from swarf manufacture I decided to attempt the Jonkman sterling. Excepting 2 linkages I have all the parts made. Still need to balance the flywheel (unsure as to how) and resolve the issue of inserting the test tube (beveling the glass, soap and water, and a host of 4 lettered words doesn't seem to help).
Suppose there is 1 last thing on which you might judge my sanity, I fish roughly 360 days a year. My wife says ... well never mind.
