i went to my dads and got some pics of the 1/4 scale waterloo traction engine he is building. the boiler is 4' long by 9" in diameter.
dad and i are building 2 of these, his is farther along than mine.
dad made all the patterns for the castings. the aluminum castings were poured by the late bill morrit and the iron was poured by wells foundry in london ontario.
some of you might remember an earlier post i made in regards to these engines and the 1/2 size engine that bill built. i still don't have any pics of bills engine but when i do i will post them.
the first pic is of the smoke box door.
then the rear wheel ( i think it is 24" in dia.)
front axle and wheels
the boiler has 14 one inch copper tubes.
i just though i would post these for you guys to see and my dad will get a kick out of see his work on the internet!!
thanks guys and happy new year to all
