Can brass be hardened after silver soldering

I am working on a steam engine for a stern wheeler that I need to build an engine bed for. It will have to be several pieces silver soldered together.
Is there a way to harden brass plate and strip after silver soldering.

To the best of my knowledge brass can not be hardened after it is made, except for work hardening. Hard Brass is made with different alloy's added to the mix, but not hardenable after casting.
