Brown& Sharpe help!

I just purchased A Brown & Sharpe Digital Dial Plus 599-1033 dial indicator as a "cold" item (just the indicator- no documention, instruction manual, or any other parts...as it stands a paper weight, for now) Can anyone help or guide me to the right info to power this thing? I see a DC plug in but no voltage info, and auction sites says it's powered by a 120 VAC adapter or rechargable battery but doesn't explain the DC power or what type of 120 VAC adapter. I can't seem to find an online instruction manual for this particular indicator either, again, need help/ guidance anything that will get this thing going, thanks.

Remove the back for access to the battery, that will tell you what Voltage to charge at. There is a RS 232 port, I don't know if that can be used as a charge port, I doubt that. On other units I have the RS 232 port is a jack type port.
