Backyard centrifugal iron casting (cylinder liners)

I have always wanted to try centrifugal iron casting but I am very wary of pouring hot iron into a spinning mold. So I came across this video about making parts for a model engine using this process. The one mistake he made was to pour iron onto the steel plate at the end of the mold which will always cause chilling in the casting. I would highly recommend to watch his other videos about making model engines.
