Hi,

currenty I'm preparing a scale rebuilt of the Anzani 3W dated from 1909 (Bleriot Type). A big challenge for me.

At the Internets archive, i found a scetch of the crankcase, with some dimensions on it.

What made me start thinking, is the different distance from the center to the cylinder sockets. The middle cyl. has a distance of 95 from the cam, however the left&right cyl. have only 94!

There are also scetches of the connection rods.

But unfortunately the length is not specified for all of them. So it's not clear if they used different lengths to compensate the extra 1mm.

In this old-fashined engine design, this one millimeter will not affect the running characteristics, but I would still like to know what might be the reason for this.

My best guess is, that's just a manufacturing tolerance...

Any ideas?

- Robert
