Has anyone seen one of these scanners work? Of course Jay Leno likes it. If you watch the video from his shop they made a D valve for one of his steam engines.

There use to be a web site that showed how to make your own cheap. It worked quite well.

Google "Davidlaserscanner" or something like that.
