I spent part of Saturday April 30th attending the NAMES show near Detroit MI. The Weather and the turnout were all fantastic. Just about standing room only, what a great crowd.

While there I took a little over 200 pictures of the event, every table from all angles and a lot of closeup pictures of people and their scale models. I have just posted them to a web site where, if you were not able to attend, you can at least see what we all saw and probably will see some of your old friends there as well.

If for some reason you would like a very high quality digital picture, so you can really see the detail up close and personal, send me the picture number and I will email it to you. If you would like a DVD of all the pictures in high quality sent me $5.00 to cover the cost and I will mail you a copy of all the pictures. They are 2592 X 1444 so the originals are all very high in detail, size about 2 meg each. You can find my mailing address on my web site at www.mrrace.com

Click on the link below to be taken to the pictures.

Thanks so much George, sure looks like you covered the show well for those of us that couldn't attend.

That's an hour of machining time (so far) that I will never get back. And I sure enjoyed it.
Well done and thanks a lot George.

Thanks for posting these George. Lots of talent in that room. I'll probably never get to a NAMES show so thanks again.

George, thank you so very much for taking those pictures and assembling them into a slide show for those of us that were not in attendance. A lot of smiles and quality hardware on display there. Quite a few old-timers as well as some younger folks alike. That is a good thing to see happening.

Thank you, George, for the outstanding pictures. Steve, thank you, too, for the excellent pix.

It takes a great deal of work to re-size and post the pix. I appreciate the efforts of both of you.

Best regards,

Orrin

Was a great show, good turn out, We were out of there as I pulled the last trailer out at 9:32PM. From the time we started to take the table coverings off the tables the exhibitors that had left to tear down and load out took 6 hours.

The numbers aren't in yet but it was a better turn out than the year before. Since it is only a two day show, Saturday and Sunday.

Less problems with people trying to sell at the exhibitors area etc. Only had one and he refused to stop and left be fore he was escorted off the property.

Farthest traveled was a guy and his family from India with some of his amazing models will post pictures as soon as the body starts working better. He had emailed a request, to bring his stuff.

Well since pictures are very well covered here there is no need to repost the few I took.

George,
Great photos. Thanks for taking the time to post them. Much appreciated by those of us who could not make it.

Cheers,
Phil

He actually covered the pictures for those of us who did attend. I do take a few of my own, but I have learned over the years to leave the general photography for others, and concentrate on absorbing what there is to see.

A great thank-you to all those who take the time to document and share these shows.

This is by the guy that traveled from India to show his model and brought his family
