Flame Eater Marc - up and running

I started to build Jan Ridders flame eater Marc in february. And for some days ago I fired it up. It runs good. The only problem is rust. I must clean the engine after every time I've used it. It's no big problem for me, I like to fix with the engines but it can be frustrating when you will show...

    It´s eating fire!

It´s running! I finally made the last pieces to my flame-eater and it felt so good so I wanted to see it run before the spirit burner was done. So I made a simple burner fast and easy. The burner is ugly but it works :) It feels so damn good to see the engine run when you have made all this...

I´ve got a hand reamer but I'm not sure how to use it. I'm going to make a cylinder and I have used my lathe to make a hole that I now want to ream. Can anyone explain to me how I should do for best result. The reamer is the one in the pic.

    Pearlitic cast iron

My next project is Jan Ridders 1-cyl Flame Eater with internal valve. The internal valve and piston should be made of "pearlitic cast iron". But I can not find a shop where I can buy it. Now the question: Can I use automatic steel instead of pearlitic cast iron?
