WTB D1-5 chuck 3 jaw or 4 jaw

Hi, I picked up an Acra 1340 lathe and have it all working except no chuck. While it is fun to turn it on and watch it run, I would really like to try making some chips. Looking for a reasonably priced D1-5 chuck. Probably in the 6 to 8 inch range. If anyone has one they are willing to part with, please let me know.

I don't have one to sell you, but....

You can buy an 6" adapter plate for $58.

And a 6" 3 jaw scroll chuck for $104.

With a little machining it should work.

Mike are you sure that your lathe takes a D1-5 chuck? And not a D1-4?

Its less expensive and easier to find D1-4 adapter plates and chucks.

Yes I am sure it is a D1-5, I have the manual from the Acra and have confirmed it with them. The model LC-1340G Acra Turn Lathe. I also measured the mount and the measurements match those of a D1-5. I kind of wish it was a D1-4, there are a lot more of those available. I have been looking at Shar's and other places, I just was not sure what I would be getting. Of course with my stage of learning it probably would not matter too much.

Plus they have other sizes and styles, their items are as good as any of the imported items available elsewhere. My Gunsmith G40003G lathe has that size back and its a little hard to find at most places.

Thanks, that is about as good a price as I have seen. I looked at grizzly and must have missed that one. Shipping isn't too bad either. I will save up for the next month and place an order.
